Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of mini-training model on improving the emergency capability of junior nurses in intensive care unit ( ICU ) .Methods Ninety-eight junior nurses in ICU were chosen and received the mini-training model of specialized training . The various indicators including the condition observation , emergency coordination and the condition of mastering the standard of the rescue procedures were recorded and compared before and after training in nurses .Results The scores of indicators including condition observation , emergency coordination and the condition of mastering the standard of the rescue procedures were respectively (90.35 ±3.62), (89.87 ±3.32), (89.59 ±3.44) after the training, and were higher than (86.20 ±3.38), (85.28 ±3.29), (85.24 ±3.68) before the training, and the differences were statistically significant (t=8.533, 10.766, 8.048, respectively;P〈0.05).The scores of indicators including condition observation , emergency coordination and the condition of mastering the standard of the rescue procedures after the training were better than those before the training , and the differences were statistically significant ( P 〈0.05 ) .Conclusions The mini-training model of specialized training can improve nurses ’ theoretical and practical level , and increase the emergency capability of junior nurses .
