Abstract

This paper communicates energy payback time (EPBT) examination of a single slope solar distiller (SSSD) augmented with N similar type of compound parabolic concentrator collectors which are covered by photovoltaic in part (PVTCPC) by incorporating the dissimilarity of fluid mass flow on the basis of unit time (ṁf). An archetypal day of May charactersing New Delhi weather situation has been considered for the analysis. This study has been conducted for the clear days of May and December for the atmospheric situation in New Delhi. The code written in MATLAB has been used for the analysis of energy payback time. The data required for the proposed examination of SSSD on the basis of EPBT by incorporating ṁf has been taken from IMD Pune located in India. It has been concluded that EPBT has the diretly proportional relationship with ṁf.
