Abstract
We investigate solitary waves in a multicomponent plasma of positively and negatively charged lighter and heavier ionsand electrons ofsolar and cometary origin; the electron components are modeled by kappa distributions. The solitary wave solution of the Zakharov-Kuznetsov (ZK) equation is plotted for parameters of comet Halley; physical variables like densities and temperatures of negatively charged lighter ions significantly affect the width and amplitude of the solitary waves.
