Abstract

The effect of K+ substitution by Li+ in the lattice of KSc(MoO4)2 on the phase transitions was investigated. In K1-xLixSc(MoO4)2 crystals with a low lithium concentration (x = 0.05) the occurrence of three structural phase transitions was revealed at T1 = 256.2 K, T2 = 238 K and T3 = 184 K, respectively. As compared with pure KSc(MoO4)2, in the mixed crystal the transition point at T1 is shifted to lower temperature and temperature regions of coexistence of low temperature ferroelastic phases at T2 and T3 are widened.
