Abstract
Objectives: Platelets play a major role in hemostasis, inflammation and angiogenesis. Late-outgrowth endothelial progenitor cells (OECs) are a subset of endothelial progenitor cells that derive from adherent mononuclear cells cultured under endothelial growth conditions, demonstrating typical cobblestone morphology. We investigated the effect of OECs on platelet activation, in vitro.
