Abstract

The effect of silver doping and additive colouring on the photoluminescence of RbAg4I5 crystals is studied. It is found that deposition of silver junctions leads to irreversible alterations of the concentrations of optically active centers in these crystals. It is proved that the luminescence has a center nature. A model of the luminescence centers is proposed. The effect of ion implantation on the optical characteristics of RbAg4I5 solid electrolytes is investigated. The appearance of a new band in the absorption spectrum and colouring of these crystals at Kr+ and Ne+ ion implantation are observed.
