Abstract

The cyclotron resonance for two types of carriers is studied by using the method of kinetic equations. The memory function approach is applied to evaluate the electron-electron relaxations time τ e(ω). We show that it is the imaginary part of τ e −1(ω) which contributes significantly to the cyclotron resonance line shape for electrons in a Si surface inversion layer at low temperatures.
