Abstract

The intenstiees of emission lines of O IV and O V ions are measured in the JIPPT-IIU tokamak plasma. From the analysis of the intensity ratios it is found that the metastable states are populated substantially through the inner subshell ionizations 2s 22p 2P → 2s2p 3P + e and 2s 22p 23P → 2s2p 24P + e.
