Abstract
The effect of shear-spring + normal-spring-type imperfect contact conditions on the dispersion of generalized Rayleigh waves in a system consisting of a two-axially prestressed covering layer and a two-axially prestressed half-plane is investigated. A three-dimensional linearized theory of elastic waves in initially stressed bodies is utilized, and a plane strain state is considered. The elasticity relations for materials of the constituents are described by the Murnaghan potential. Numerical results obtained for the effect of the parameters entering in the imperfect contact conditions on wave dispersion curves are presented and discussed.
