Abstract

Objective To study the effects of health education pathway in aged inpatients with hyperten-sion. Methods 200 aged inpatients with hypertension were randomly divided into experimental group (health edu-cation pathway, n = 100) and control group (routine health education, n = 100) . Results The scores of health knowledge test, practical operating test and satisfaction rate of nursing service were all higher in the experi-mental group than those of the control group (all P <0. 001) . Besides, the inpatients'rates of medicine -taking obedience and effective blood pressure control as well as checkout rate of health education were all higher than those of the control group (all P < 0. 005) . Conclusions Implementation of health education pathway is able to improve inpatients' hypertension knowledge level and their medicine -taking obedience rate, therefore it could make their blood pressure be controlled effectively and their complications are decreased;meanwhile, it could al-so enhance nurse -patient communication and patient's satisfaction rate on nursing service and as a result, obtain a favorable nursing efficacy.
