Abstract
RECENT observations by Sadeh, Knowles and Yaplee1 of the 21 cm absorption line from Taurus A have shown that there is a decrease of frequency (unaccounted for by general relativity) when the optical path approaches the Sun. They also found a decrease of frequency2, roughly proportional to the distance, when a terrestrial source (caesium clock) was used.
