Abstract

This study aims to determine the independence of learning before and after using google classroom on the circulation system material and to find out the biology learning outcomes of students after learning using Google Classroom on the circulation system material in class XI privat high school in Medan. The research method used was pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results showed differences in student learning independence before and after learning through the application of Google Classroom on the Circulation System material in class XI MIA at Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Medan Private High School in the academic year 2020/2021. The average value of learning independence before learning of 78, while the average value of learning independence after learning is 79.29. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test output results of the experimental class were in the sig. (2-tailed) part, the value is 0.041 <0.05. An increase in student learning outcomes showed the n-gain average value of 0.59, which is included in the medium category.
