Abstract

As a result of the rapid development of electronic devices, this study aims to manufacture concrete and cement materials to protect against electromagnetic interference. Building materials can be developed for use in advanced applications such as electromagnetic shielding and conductive concrete. In this paper, one of the industrial wastes, slag, was studied, and the effect of electric induction furnace slag on reinforced concrete mixtures with steel fibers and carbon fiber reinforced concrete was discussed. The experimental results showed the improvement of concrete mixtures with the increase of slag content. Besides, the results of slag using carbon fiber were better than those of steel fiber. The reflectivity of the m4 mixture was 47 dB, and the protection effectiveness was 7 dB.
