Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of mandatory exercise therapy on hypotension and fitness in hemodialysis patients. Methods 60 patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis in our hospital from December, 2018 to May, 2019 were selected; among which, the 30 who underwent routine nursing care were set as a control group, and the other 30 an observation group, taking mandatory exercise therapy. The incidence of hypotension, dialysis fitness, and changes in nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of hypotension was lower in the observation group than in the control group [13.33% (4/30) vs. 36.67% (11/30), P<0.05]. The incidences of no discomfort, slight discomfort, general discomfort, and serious discomfort in the observation group was 44.33%, 23.33%, 20.00%, and 13.34%, which were better than those in the control group. The nursing satisfaction in the observation group was 96.67%, which was higher than that in the control group (63.33%), with a statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of compulsory exercise therapy in hemodialysis patients can significantly reduce the incidence of dialysis-related hypotension, and increase their dialysis fitness and nursing satisfaction, so it is worthy of promotion.
