Abstract

We studied the effect of bimodal distribution of rod lengths on the properties of 2D nano-composites. The system consisted of highly conductive fillers such as nanowires in an insulating host matrix. The rods were randomly generated using continuous approach. The impact of length dispersity on critical number density of fillers was studied. This model evidenced that more the length dispersity less the percolation threshold. Transmittance increased with increasing length dispersity.
