Abstract

In order to investigate the application effect of empathy nursing in AIDS patients undergoing antiviral therapy, 82 AIDS patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The observation group were given empathic nursing intervention based on routine nursing for control group, and were followed up for 12 months. The scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) , self-rating depression scale (SDS) and HIV viral load in observation group were all significantly lower, the compliance rate and CD4+T lymphocyte count were significantly higher than those in control group. It is suggested that empathy nursing can improve the treatment effect of AIDS patients. Key words: AIDS; Antiviral therapy; Empathy nursing; Negative emotion
