Abstract

Pyroelectric current temperature dependence has been studied on single crystals of gadolinium molybdate (GMO) by dynamic method in parallel with direct domain structure observations. It is shown that due to polydomainization of electrically shorted samples occuring with heating the peak in the pyroelectric current temperature dependence is down-shifted relative to Curie temperature Tc . This effect is related to the temperature induced change of the unipolarity coefficient as well as the switching current contribution into the pyroelectric current arising during domain structure realignment.
