Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of preemptive analgesia with diclofenac sodium suppositories on pain, inflammation and postoperative recovery in patients with colon cancer after radical operation. Methods Sixty-two patients with sigmoid colon cancer in Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital from January 2017 to June 2018 were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in the observation group were treated with diclofenac sodium suppositories and postoperative analgesia by patient controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA), and the control group only used PCIA. The analgesia effect, inflammatory factors and postoperative recovery of the two groups were observed before operation (T0), 2 hours after operation (T1), 6 hours after operation (T2), 12 hours after operation (T3), 24 hours after operation (T4) and 48 hours after operation (T5). Results The analgesia effect and the levels of inflammatory factors of the observation group was significantly better than those of the control group at T1, T2, T3 and T4 time point(P<0.05); the intestinal function recovery and postoperative rehabilitation of the observation group were also better than those of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusions Preemptive analgesia with diclofenac sodium suppositories can alleviate the postoperative pain and the inflammatory reaction, promote the postoperative rehabilitation in patients with colon cancer undergoing radical operation, which is worthy of clinical application.
