Abstract

We investigate influences of the cyclic 4-spin exchange interaction J c upon the magnetic Raman-scattering of high- T c oxides by an exact numerical method for 4×4 square lattice. The spectra computed with inclusion of J c agree with experimental results better than those obtained from the Heisenberg model. The nearest-neighbor exchange interaction J to be extracted from experimental spectrum becomes larger than that estimated by use of the Heisenberg model.
