Abstract

Objective To investigate effect of continued nursing intervention on life quality of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.Methods A total of 92 hypertension patients with type 2 diabetes admitted in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group with 46 cases and control group with 46 cases.The control group received routine nursing intervention,and observation group added continued nursing.Overall satisfaction,FPG and HbA1 c after intervention,systolic and diastolic blood pressure and quality of life scores were compared.Results Overall satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in control group (P < 0.05).FPG and HbA1c of two groups decreased after the intervention (P < 0.05),and FPG and HbA1c reduced more in the observation group than the control group (P < 0.05).After intervention,systolic and diastolic pressure in two group were reduced (P < 0.05).SBP and DBP after intervention group was reduced more than the control group (P < 0.05).Overall health,spirit health,emotional function,role-physical,physical function,and social function score in the observation group were higher than the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion Continued care for elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension has significant effect,and it can significantly improve the quality of life of patients.
