Abstract

Objective To observe and evaluate the effect of nursing intervention on quality of life (QOL) and neurological function recovery in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI). Methods A total of 118 patients with acute cerebral infarction hospitalized in department of neurology of our hospital from June 2015 to October 2017 were treated with clopidogrel combined with alprostadil, and were randomly divided into two groups. 59 cases in the control group were given routine care; 59 cases in the observation group were given comprehensive nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. And the nursing effect of the two groups of patients were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in SF-36 score between the two groups before nursing intervention (P>0.05); after 4 weeks of nursing intervention, the score of SF-36 increased in both groups, and the scores of health sensation, physical function, role function, cognitive level, emotional function, and social function of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P 0.05); after nursing intervention, the NIHSS score decreased significantly in both groups, and the NIHSS score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (t=6.861 7, P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (98.31% vs.79.66%; χ2=10.460 1, P<0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) can effectively improve the neurological impairment, and significantly improve the patients' quality of life and nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application. Key words: Acute cerebral infarction; Nursing intervention; Quality of life; Recovery of neurological function; Nursing Satisfaction
