Abstract
ABSTRACT Cotton fiber is the most important raw material of the textile industry. Agricultural activities, harvesting methods, storage, ginning, and spinning process are important in determining the quality and efficiency of cotton fiber. Cotton fiber, which is mostly used in yarn factories, should be subjected to conditioning process before spinning, and the moisture (%) content should be at the desired level to optimize fiber length, flexibility, strength, and other similar quality values. In this study, in which the effects of moisture-induced improvement in cotton fiber quality on yarn quality were targeted; the aim is to use cotton fibers used in spinning mills at maximum performance and to improve the quality performance of the yarns produced.
