Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of clinical liver cirrhosis signs, summarize the clinical signs, and assess signs impacting on affective function, anxiety and quality of life. Methods Through single factor screening and multivariate logistic regression analysis, we evaluated clinical observation index impacting on quality of life and Pearson correlation test among a total of 300 patients with liver cirrhosis by chronic liver disease questionnaire (CLDQ) developed and liver cirrhosis clinical information questionnaire. Results After treatment, clinical signs in patients with liver cirrhosis was obviously improved, manifested as the increased cure rate of xanthochromia (75.0%), icteric sclera(63.2%), ascites (52.9%), pale (75.0%), sallow complexion (66.7%), acne (66.7%), edema of lower extremity (77.8%) and et al. Except of poor concentration, worrying poor health, surviving rate of liver transplantation, all other scores of affective function evaluation and CLQD climbed including worried (4.61±1.69), mood fluctuations (5.84±0.77), worried about disease development (4.38±1.47), and worried about disease incurable (3.02±1.84), and they had statistical difference with scores before treatment (t=3.50, 3.69, 2.58, 2.14, respectively; P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that there were a positive correlation except for the hepatomegaly, the independent factors affecting the quality of life from big to small order were as following: xanthochromia, the abdominal wall varicosity, icteric sclera, ascites, splenomegaly, lower extremity edema, pleural effusion; the clinical signs independent factor of cirrhosis had positive correlation with COLD affective function and anxiety (r=0.309-0.638; P<0.05). Conclusions Xanthochromia, the abdominal wall varicosity, icteric sclera, ascites, splenomegaly, lower extremity edema, pleural effusion are independent factors affecting the quality of life. The improvement of clinical signs can reduce the anxiety and the impact on affective function, and improve the quality of life in patients with liver cirrhosis.
