Abstract
Objective To study the effect of client-centered therapy on anxiety and depression symptoms in patient with nevus fuscocaeruleus zygomaticus treated by Q-switched alexandrite laser (755 mm) by means of psychological intervention. Methods A lot of 208 patients with nevus fuscocaeruleus zygomaticus were treated by Q-switched alexandrite laser (755 mm) and were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. In treatment group, client-centered therapy was applied to do psychological intervention based on conventional treatment; while in control group, it only performed conventional treatment. Self-rating anxiety/depression scale was used to compare the degree of anxiety and depression between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Anxiety and depression between the treatment group and control group before treatment was no statistical significance (P>0.05). For treatment and control groups, the self-assessment score for anxiety after treatment decreased (P<0.05). For treatment group, the score for depression decreases (P<0.05). As the self-assessment scores for anxiety of treatment group and control group after treatment the difference was of no statistical significance between these two scores; as self-assessment scores of depression the difference was of statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusions In the process that Q-switched alexandrite laser (755 mm) was applied to cure nevus fuscocaeruleus zygomaticus, all-round, objective and user-friendly client-centered psychological treatment therapy that places people at first can improve the anxiety and depression of patients.
