Abstract
Two short-pulsed Q-switched lasers, the ruby and the Nd:YAG, have been developed for the treatment of dermal pigmented disorders and tattoos. A third laser of this type, the alexandrite laser (755 nm with a 100-nsec pulse duration), was recently developed.
