Conclusions1. Postganglionic sympathectomy of the gastrointestinal tract potentiates the susceptibility to the histamine-induced ulcer in dogs. 2. This increased susceptibility to ulcer formation has continued over the longest interval during which a dog was observed, in one instance for 499 days following celiac ganglionectomy.
