Abstract

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of a behavior change plan (BCP) on the well-being of dental students. Material and Methods: First and second-year bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) students were sensitized regarding the importance of a healthy lifestyle and asked to choose any one/more areas of fitness to improve on. Pre-test scores were recorded. For the next 6 months, follow-up reminders were given to keep them on track. Post-test scores were recorded at the end of 6 months. Results: Overall wellness score showed improvement at the end of 6 months, maximum students completed their target behavior. Conclusion: A BCP is an effective method to inculcate principles of a healthy lifestyle among dental undergraduates.
