Abstract
1. Austenization of 30KhN4MF-type steels in the intercritical temperature range accelerates the supercooled austenite decomposition under isothermal conditions by the bainite as well as by the pearlite reaction. 2. Heating 30KhN4MF-type steels in the intercritical temperature range (700°C), holding isothermally in the pearlite zone (600°C) and water-cooling, produces a uniform, very fine structure, with a good combination of mechanical characteristics: σult ∮ 1150 MPa, σ0.2 ∮ 830 MPa δ≅18%; ϕ≅50%, a1+20≅1.15 MJ/m2; a1−40≅1.8 MJ/m2, which are similar to the characteristics of steels after toughening.
