Abstract
In this work, four layers of TiO2 films have been prepared and applied as photoanode of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The multilayer TiO2 underwent annealing treatment at various temperatures, in the range 300−550 °C at 50 °C interval. The influence of annealing temperature on the properties of multilayer TiO2 and the performance of the device has been investigated. The samples possess higher optical absorption in UV region than in visible region. The morphology of the sample is active nanoparticle and scatter nanoparticle with its size is bigger than active nanoparticle. The highest η of 2.51 % was obtained from the device utilizing the sample annealed at 500 °C due to the lowest charge transfer resistance at the interface of Pt/electrolyte and electrolyte/N719 dye/TiO2.
