Abstract

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the construction of Manganese Dioxide (MnO2) Thin-Film on a stainless-steel substrate (AISI304) using the electrodeposition process. A thin MnO2 layer Potentiostatically formed by electrodeposition technique from MnSO4.H2O (aqueous manganese sulphate monohydrated) solution was used to investigate the electrodes’ super-capacitive capabilities. The impact of annealing temperature on the electrochemical characteristics of some materials at temperatures ranging from 100°C-500°C was investigated. The surface morphology of annealed material at 100°C, 200°C, 300°C, 400°C, and 500°C was investigated utilizing a SEM (scanning electron microscope). At 200°C, the cyclic Voltammogram is used to investigate the electrochemical characterisation. The highest value of specific capacitance was calculated from this data and was found to be 184.42F g–1 for 10 mV/s. Utilizing galvanostatic discharging and charging techniques, as well as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, this research investigates the behaviour of super capacitive materials.
