Abstract

Considering the case of a plate of a centrally antisymmetric tetragonal antiferromagnet for illustration, it is shown that if the tensor of magnetoelectric coupling constants is antisymmetric, then an external electric field causes earlier unknown anomalies to occur in the spectrum of bulk acoustic magnons even in the exchangeless limit.
