Abstract
Two experiments were conducted to determine the effect of the addition of urea—and of the replacement of wheat straw with paddy straw or rice husk—on the biochemical properties of buffalo dung wastelage. Urea can be incorporated advantageously up to a 0·5% level and paddy straw is a better source of dry roughage than wheat straw. The addition of rice husk resulted in poor quality wastelage.
