Abstract
An increase in plasma Ca and a decrease in plasma Mg were observed in both intact and TPTX sheep injected with 1α(OH)D3 intramuscularly. 1α(OH)D3 stimulated Ca and Mg absorption from the gut in intact sheep but had little influence on absorption in TPTX sheep.
