Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical path of guidance to health care and education for pregnant women on the early effects of natural childbirth. Methods 114 cases of pregnant women with early spontaneous labor in our hospital were randomly divided into 2 groups (57 patients for each), clinical nursing for health education was conducted in the 57 patients of observation group, while control group received usual care, 2 groups were compared perinatal breastfeeding, reasonable diet, post-natal training, touching, swimming and nursing job satisfaction, out of bed time after postpartum, total hospital stays and hospital costs.Results There was significant difference between 2 groups (P<0.05) in average length of hospital stays (2 days in observation group and 3.3 days in control one),hospital costs (average 2100 RMB in observation group and 3010 RMB in control one), out of bed time after postpartum (average 9.5 hours in observation group, 12.3 hours in control one), good health education (86.0% and 54.4% respectively), nursing job satisfaction (93.0% and 71.9% respectively), perinatal breastfeeding, reasonable diet, post-natal training,touching and swimming.
