Effect evaluation of Huaiqihuang granule on henoch-schonlein and prevention of renal damage in children

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of Huaiqihuang granules on henoch-schonlein purpura and prevention of renal damage in children. Methods Eighty-six children with henoch-schonlein purpura were selected as the research objects, and were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 43 cases in each group. The treatment group was given oral Huaiqihuang particles on the basis of routine treatment. The control group was given conventional treatment, and the treatment lasted for 3 months. The clinical curative effects and changes of T lymphocyte subgroup were compared, and the follow-up period of henoch-schonlein purpura disease recurrence rate and the incidence of renal damage was recorded. Results The clinical symptoms disappear time, hospitalization days and recurrence rate of treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of renal damage in treatment group was obviously lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The CD4+ and CD4+ /CD8+ in the treatment group after treatment was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusions Huaiqihuang particles can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and immune function of children with henoch-schonlein purpura, reduce recurrence rate and the incidence of renal damage.
