Abstract
Objective to explore the therapeutic effect of liver transplantation or combined liver and kidney transplantation for chronic and acute liver failure with renal insufficiency. Methods From April 2012 to April 2018, 90 cases of patients with chronic and acute liver failure with renal insufficiency were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The control group received liver transplantation and the observation group received liver transplantation combined with kidney transplantation. One year survival rate, hospitalization time, custody time, ventilator support time, quality of life before and after treatment, hospital mortality was compared between the two groups. Results the 1-year survival rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P 0.05). The quality of life of the observation group was better than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05). The hospital mortality rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Liver transplantation combined with kidney transplantation for the treatment of chronic and acute liver failure with renal insufficiency is effective in improving survival rate, mortality and quality of life.
