Abstract

The pressure exerted by the shery on the sh stocks leads to a phenotypic evolution and can change the sustainable yield, for this reason, the shery managers must be careful to propose an appropriate management. The species Pseudoplatystoma corruscans, popularly known as Pintado or Surubim, is one of the main targets for catching freshwater sh in South America. From 1996 to 2013 shing regulations in the Paraguay River Basin (Mato Grosso) went through six changes. This paper aims to evaluate the impact of changes in legislation on the parameters of the catch, maturation length and biomass of the Pintado stock, using time series intervention analysis. The data were obtained through simulation, the model is an adaptation of the Penna model based on the biology and the shing characteristics of Pintado. Changes in sheries legislation affected the catch immediately (abruptly), as in the maturation length and biomass parameters, the intervention effect occurs slowly (gradually).

Introducao

O declınio mundial dos estoques pesqueiros levam a necessidade de se compreender melhor a dinamica populacional das especies exploradas. No ano de 1996, entrou em vigor a Resolucao no 009/1996 - CONSEMA que determinou o comprimento de 80 cm como o tamanho mınimo de captura da especie Pintado, com vigencia ate o ano de 2000 (MATO GROSSO, 1996). Anjos et al (2014) avaliaram o impacto da alterac ̃ao na legislacao de pesca, com a Resolucao no 001/2000 - CONSEMA, sobre o parametro da captura, utilizando o modelo proposto por Santos et al (2012). Este trabalho teve como foco avaliar o efeito das alterac ̃oes das leis que regulamentam a pesca na bacia do rio Paraguai (Mato Grosso) sobre os parametros da captura, comprimento de maturacao e biomassa, no perıodo em que ocorreram as seis intervenc ̃oes, utilizando tecnicas de series temporais. Os resultados foram obtidos com a implementacao do modelo Santos et al (2012) em linguagem de programacao C
