Abstract

The need for appropriate methods in linking theory with the real world of everyday life so that students can understand the material provided by educators. The method commonly used to relate everyday phenomena to existing theories and to increase students' understanding is practicum. From the results of the visit to the Satoe Atap community, during the lesson no one had brought material about physics, especially heat transfer. Based on this background, one solution to foster understanding, interest and creativity in the children of the Satoe Atap community in learning physics is through practicums using simple tools and materials. Learning natural sciences in the field of physics, especially heat-conducting materials at the Satoe Atap Community through a practical method which is divided into three posts (practice of expanding solid objects, practice of conducting heat in solid objects, and practice of conducting heat in liquid objects) has proven to be effective and its benefits can be seen by participants because they were able to increase their understanding of concepts related to the material provided. ====================================== Perlunya metode yang tepat dalam mengaitkan teori dengan dunia nyata sehari-hari dalam kehidupan agar peserta didik dapat memahami materi yang diberikan oleh pendidik. Metode yang biasa digunakan dalam mengaitkan fenomena sehari-hari yaitu dengan teori yang ada serta mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik adalah dengan praktikum. Dari hasil kunjungan ke komunitas Satoe Atap, bahwa selama pembelajaran belum ada yang pernah membawakan materi tentang fisika khususnya perpindahan panas. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka salah satu solusi untuk menumbuhkan pemahaman, minat, dan kreativitas diri anak-anak komunitas Satoe Atap dalam pembelajaran fisika yaitu melalui praktikum menggunakan alat dan bahan sederhana. Pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam di bidang fisika khususnya materi penghantar panas pada Komunitas Satoe Atap melalui metode praktikum yang terbagi menjadi tiga pos (praktik pemuaian benda padat, praktik penghantar panas pada benda padat, dan praktik penghantar panas pada benda cair) terbukti efektif dan terlihat manfaatnya oleh peserta karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep terkait materi yang diberikan.
