Abstract
It is very difficult to estimate the number of Chinese students in Russia, because the Soviet government never announces it in public and the administration is being done outside the framework of official relations with the Chinese embassy in Russia. Therefore, even the Chinese legation does not have definite information regarding the number, profession, and home address of Chinese in Russia, although the legation roughly estimates the number at about 10,000.
