Abstract

In this research, the focus of analysis are the teachers perspectives, pedagogical coordinator and manager, in front of what determines the Law 10.639/ 03 and the pedagogical practices that they have done for the acknowledgment of this law at a public school in the Itapetinga city, located in the Southwest of Bahia. In this city, the endeavor to implement the law in question has been given through the creation of the subject African Indigenous Culture in the curriculum of elementary schools. However, as we saw, the implementation has been very difficult, from isolated people interest, such as the responsible teachers for Afro Indigenous subject, since it doesn't exist an effective policy aimed at training teachers, and other actions able to supply the construction of an anti-racist education.
