Abstract

As regular readers of the Electrical Insulation Magazine (EIM), I am sure you have had the opportunity to read about the many changes and developments within the Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS). The new DEIS Web site is one of those changes, and I thank you for taking the time to visit the site at http:// ewh.ieee.org/soc/deis/. However, the work has not yet been completed. We still need your help and support as it grows with the membership's participation in the discussions and dialogs posted on the Web site. Most of the educational videos are now available to the members of the DEIS, and the Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation (TDEI) and the EIM papers can be accessed through the Web site as well. The Web site is also the place for you to post upcoming events related to dielectrics and electrical insulation and a place to find such events. As new material is constantly being posted on the site, I hope you regularly visit and find out what is happening in the world of dielectrics and electrical insulation.
