Abstract

The ninth edition of the Transnational Commercial Law Teachers’ Meeting was hosted by the Business and Law Research Centre of Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, on 2–3 November 2017. These annual meetings are inspired by the book Transnational Commercial Law, edited by Roy Goode, Ewan McKendrick, and Herbert Kronke (Oxford University Press, 1st edn 2007, 2nd edn 2015). Their goal is to discuss important substantive developments in the field of transnational commercial law and to exchange experiences regarding didactics and curriculum development.1 The meeting in 2017 revolved around the topical theme ‘Transnational Commercial Law and Natural Resources’. The meeting was sponsored by the Radboud University and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. This focus of the Uniform Law Review, which was edited by Thomas Keijser, reflects the deliberations at the ninth Transnational Commercial Law Teachers’ Meeting, which was attended by distinguished participants from Australia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Kenya, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
