Abstract

Welcome to the first issue of the Australasian Journal of Gifted Education for 2024. In this issue of the journal, we have three highly interesting articles that each delve into different aspects of giftedness and gifted education, that have been prepared by emerging and established scholars in the field. The fourth article is an interview of Genevieve Thraves, who is an author of one of the articles in this issue, and a regular contributor to the Australasian Journal of Gifted Education. The preparation of this issue was possible due to the contributions of Margaret Plunkett and Geraldine Townend, as acting editors on those articles on which I was coauthor, and Marie Young, who interviewed Genevieve Thraves and provided copyediting support.
