Abstract

Welcome to the January 2002 issue of Clinical and Experimental Dermatology: a new year and a new editor. As my first task, I would like to thank Jonathan Barker for his tremendous efforts over the last 3 years in helping revamp the journal and making Clinical and Experimental Dermatology such an informative and attractive read. The ‘blueprint’ of the current format represents a combined effort from Jonathan, Nick Reynolds and myself, and the positive feedback we have increasingly received over the last 3 years has been encouraging for us all. Unfortunately, Nick is stepping down as a co‐editor, but both he and Jonathan will continue to be involved with the journal as members of the new Editorial Advisory Board. Nevertheless, a formal thank you to both of them for all their work for Clinical and Experimental Dermatology. In Nick's place, Daniel Creamer will be joining the editorial team, which also includes Nigel Burrows, Editorial Manager Iona Tulloch, and John Caulfield, the Editorial Co‐ordinator. During 2002, Clinical and Experimental Dermatology will be looking to expand its horizons through the appointment of an overseas co‐editor. Submissions to the journal come from all parts of the globe and such an appointment will undoubtedly add to the international flavour of our journal as well as helping to increase world‐wide readership.
