Dear Reader, The IFPI Editorial Board is pleased to deliver another issue of REVISTA SOMMA to the academic community. Thus reaffirming the commitment to the academic community of the IFPI. In times when research and academic discussions must be increasingly active, humane and capable of provoking new perspectives on our work and on our time. -Campus Parnaíba, and also on the conception of the students of the technical course in the environment about the distance learning modality in the training of quality technicians at the Buriti dos Montes Pole, in relation to the challenges of access and permanence faced during these courses. Also in this issue, we have an important research that deals with the psychoanalytical correlations about the Piauí legend “o Cabeça de cuia” which makes approximations between the legend and the psychoanalytic theory, specifically in the Freudian Oedipus complex, bringing important perspectives in the authors’ point of view. We also have two significant studies, an approach to aspects of Lima Barreto's work having as scope its relationship with the climate of political and social instability of the First Republic, and the Influence of language concepts and mediation of Portuguese language teaching, emphasizing languages at work teacher in Portuguese Language classes, it is a study about the valuation of the contributions that each one has in the scope of the pedagogical mediation that aims to minimize the difficulties of the students in relation to the processes of textual production, bringing to the public important discussions on the researched themes. related texts, currently an extremely pertinent debate in Brazil, we also have, in this issue, texts that deal with other topics such as: a study that analyzes the perception of nurses about biosafety in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Parnaíba, bringing the daily life of these professionals and the importance of adopting the necessary biosecurity measures to protect themselves and the client under their care. At the end of this magazine, we bring a Review of Telma Franco's book Bullying against the deaf: the silent manifestation of resilience. We believe that the Somma Magazine of the Federal Institute of Piauí reaffirms itself as an important means of disseminating the work carried out by researchers and professors at the institution, as well as another publication space for researchers who see in this multiplicity a place that dialogues, enables and encompasses research. from different areas.
