Abstract

We commend the authors on a fantastic publication using qualitative research methods to understand how gender continues to influence urological workplaces. The qualitative nature of this analysis permits a greater depth of understanding of the obstacles women urologists face than would a survey-based methodology, which is important step toward designing solutions. The authors focus on the specific role women play in child-bearing and child-rearing and how these activities limit opportunities for women.
