Abstract
This is an outstanding micro-costing analysis comparing the cost of disposal vs multiuse units which concludes that for this tertiary academic center disposable flexible cystoscopes resulted in a lower cost.1 Only one of the 7 authors was a consultant for the device being investigated, which helps to minimize investigator bias, and measured user satisfaction with the disposable cystoscope during the 3 months of study was high. The authors are to be commended for providing this information that can be used by other centers in consideration of this decision and the study adds to a growing body of literature on this topic.
