Abstract
We are pleased to announce that Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures has introduced a web-based submission and peer review system called Manuscript Central. We invite all authors to submit their manuscripts at http://www.ffemsjournal.org. This site is available with immediate effect and we intend to move rapidly to electronic submission and reviewing of all papers. Full details on the submission process are available on the web site and also on the inside back cover of the journal, under the Instructions to Authors. The new system will be quick and convenient for both authors and reviewers. It will enable the Journal to raise the quality of its service to authors by speeding up the entire editorial process from selection of reviewers and communicating with authors to decision making and subediting manuscripts. Authors will also be able to track the progress of their papers through the unique manuscript identifying number. We hope that authors and reviewers will find that Manuscript Central is a significant improvement in the process of publishing papers in Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures and we look forward to working with you.
