Abstract
It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of the 2021 Electron Devices Society George E. Smith Award given to an article published in IEEE Electron Device Letters (EDL) in 2021. The selection was made by vote of EDL’s Editors. The article is titled “Demonstration of a p-Type Ferroelectric FET With Immediate Read-After-Write Capability,” and it is authored by Dominik Kleimaier, Halid Mulaosmanovic, Stefan Dünkel, Sven Beyer, Steven Soss, Stefan Slesazeck, and Thomas Mikolajick variously with Global Foundries, NaMLab, and the Institute of Semiconductors and Microsystems, TU Dresden, all in Dresden, Germany. The article was published in the December 2021 issue of EDL.
