Abstract

This issue is divided into two parts. Part I presents translated material from Beijing University and Hangzhou University. Part II offers several sections on Beijing University from the memoirs of philosopher Feng Youlan, translated and edited by Professor Russell E. McLeod of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. A note on the genesis of this issue might be useful.
